Yellow Factory was founded by Piet Kroon and Dick Spreeuwers in 2012. The two founders, both occupational physicians interested in medical technology, are active in consultancy and education within the field of rehabilitation and re-integration.

Since 2018 Yellow Factory exclusively focusses on medical technology. At the moment it is a platform to create and market medical technology. In addition, Yellow Factory searches for collaboration with other parties. Yellow Factory collaborates with the Technical university of Twente, Fontys university of applied sciences and several private companies.
